Thank you Deborah!
Glad you found this interesting. It's really sad to know what Owen and his family went through. Such a stunt wasn't needed at first place. But if they were going ahead they should at least have hired an experienced stunt co-ordinating team. It was later revealed that the guy leading the stunt team was inexperienced and faked his credentials to be a part of WWE. On the other hand, the harness & shackle that was used to lower Owen from the top was made for lowering boats and it wasn't for human. Team WWF used these to save money. They also ignored the advice by an experienced stuntman who warned them of the dangerous consequences if they went ahead with the stunt. And despite owen's death the show went on.
Being a WWE fan especially of the 90s era, I was really curious to know how Owen died. Deaths like these makes me restless unless I know every details about the incident. My curiosity lead me to the book written by Owen's wife Martha Hart. The book is Broken Harts: The Life & Death of Owen Hart. This books is so wonderfully written. It made me so emotional. Martha had put her heart and soul while penning the book. Read it once to know more about Owen and his life in and outside the ring.
